Re-forestation in Angola -Project location and overview

This terrain is located in Bie Province of Angola (research on maps below) and have about 2,000 hectares of productive soil suitable for re-forestation and any kind of agricultural development as well.

Geographic position and climacteric conditions makes this zone very different from the rest of National territory.
Actually it make part of the Highland Plains (overall attitude is over 1,700 m above sea level).
In contrast to hot and arid litoral zones, High Pains enjoy mild climate similar to Central and Southern Europe.

Moderated temperatures, abundant rain fall and local rivers assure excellent conditions for rapid grow of the vegetation.
Although we have year season change here, temperatures have never been low enough to affect a growth of vegetation. So, trees are growing constantly ( in contrast to other countries) and local farmers used to enjoy THREE CROPS every year...

This terrain in past was abundantly covered by eucalyptus, pines, cedars, orange and lemon tress and all sort of other vegetation.
In fact, this province was a center of agricultural and forestal production of this country, providing food, fuel, construction materials, jobs etc. for local population.

Unfortunately, a Civil War (1975-2005) resulted in huge devastation, especially it this area.
Main tropical forests were destroyed by unsustainable exploration of timber woods, any  sizable agricultural and re-forestation activity was halted. As result, this zone is actually semi-deserted, non-productive, no offering sustain and jobs for population.

The good news is that current deplorable situation could be reversed at relatively low cost and in reasonably short time.
Considering favorable local and climacteric conditions, no winter period, fast growing rate of vegetation, low cost of workforce, high demand / low offer of timber woods -
any initial investment will start making  considerable return in just 5-6 years (it's a time when planted trees become commercially exploitable here).

This country is experiencing rapid growth and economic development, now. And it will become even faster in future.
This mean that re-forestation and produce timber woods and other collateral products of re-forestation will be in high and ever growing demand here for a quite long time ahead.
